AMI Adds 7 Games to New ML-1 Countertop
Megatouch Software Update Boasts New Games and Updated Content
BRISTOL, PA, November 23rd, 2011 – AMI Entertainment has added new games and feature enhancements to the industry’s newest countertop, the ML-1. The automatic update to connected ML-1 machines includes 7 Megatouch hits, spread across several different game categories. Titles featured in the update include the spooky puzzle game Monster Madness 2, the hidden object game Photo Hunt Expedition, and the trivia challenge Dino Whiz.
This update brings popular hits from the Megatouch 2012 release to the Megatouch Live platform, now upgraded with challenges and game enhancements developed specially for the ML-1 countertop. Each game includes 10 challenges that players can complete to add points to their Megatouch Live score, as well as 3 unique upgrades. These upgrades add new depth to gameplay and are essential in completing certain challenges and achieving a higher score.
Photo Hunt Expedition and Photo Hunt Expedition II are now available on ML-1 with their own challenges. These games take the player on a voyage through time, discovering the wonders of the ancient world by uncovering hidden objects. The faster you complete your list of found treasures, the more points you’ll receive and the sooner you can move on to the next level. Complete the Beginners Bonus challenge and get to the bonus round!
Monster Madness 2, with a cast of creepy little creatures, is three parts Boxxi and two parts classic monsters. By grouping two or more of the same items together, players try to knock down columns that have creatures perched at the top. Send those creepy crawlers back to their graves by completing the Bombityville Horror challenge or choose the Shuffle upgrade to create more matches.
Rock Mahjong takes the traditional Mahjong Solitaire and cranks it up to 11. Players uncover the metal matches in this hyper version of the classic puzzle game. Feel the beat and get through the Amped Up! Challenge by earning a 20x multiplier.
Play4 Crossword was made for players who fancy the infectious fun of crossword puzzles, and introduces a fantastically fresh and newfangled format. You’ll need feverishly fast and furious fingers to figure out the eight fused four-letter words. Beat the Perfectly Played challenge by solving a round without guessing a wrong letter.
Dino Whiz offers a new trivia experience, as players need to answer the questions to stay ahead of a pursuing dinosaur, using memory games at checkpoints to widen the gap. Conquer the Dino-Mite challenge by answering 100 questions correctly over multiple games. Earn your points and earn extra time!
Wordy Birds is for Wordster fans. These ornithological Einsteins eat bookworms and will challenge players to create as many words as possible from the eight letters provided over the course of three rounds. Receive “bo-nest” points for guessing the mystery word. Complete the Birdsmith challenge by creating an 8 letter word and boost your score, or use the Favorable Letters upgrade to receive common letters to make more words.
The update featuring these 7 new titles is being distributed automatically to connected ML-1 units. AMI’s periodic automatic updates enhance the value of the new ML-1 machines by introducing exciting new content and features without the need for on-premise upgrades.
