The Hammer of the Gods is now currently striking music lovers directly in the eardrums, soul, and heart, everywhere there is an AMI jukebox. The Mothership has landed so-to-speak. The Levee is currently Breaking. “Oooooh Baby Baby” is being heard in joints across the map, and that’s the way it should always be. The primal sounds of Zeppelin, arguably the band who kicks you directly in the gut with most ease. The quartet had the thump, the monster riffs to topple buildings, the bushy hair, the grit, the scream, the tight pants, the able bass player, the blues, the metal, the groupies, the sought-after merchandise, the live shows….kapow! Zeppelin is an essential jukebox band.
There was a big cultural hole that is now filled. It wasn’t completely right without them. Imagine the 21 year old going out on his big night, and he gets turned on to that one Zeppelin song that completely changed his outlook on love, life, social circles etc. If only we could have been a part of the launch that included Itunes last November, but that’s another story, and we aren’t going to gripe about the past. The bands legacy is being watched closely…as it should be. This is a band that has songs that reach out and demand things of you that you may have not been aware of. Am I gushing just a little??? The answer is an unapologetic yes. The band has songs upon songs. We will be celebrating their launch on the network for the next couple months. Like Michael Bolton’s music as discussed in the movie Office Space, we are going to celebrate the whole Zeppelin catalog. Look for some fun stuff happening…in…the…future!
Want a little more Pop culture?? There is an AMI jukebox on the back cover of the Zeppelin album “In Through The Out Door”!! We are linked with the band forever in rock immortality. How many people can say that?!!? The lonely guy smoking the Lucky Strikes is no doubt washing a lady off his mind while playing some therapeutic tunes on the AMI juke behind him. Not to boast all that much, but it is reallllllllly fricking cool to catch these little details.
